An account of Inspector James Russell's experience during the attempt on Queen Victoria's life by a man with a pistol. He describes searching the prisoner and finding some gun powder wrapped in paper upon him, but no ball. He received the pistol from policeman, [William] Trounce and states that the prisoner's name was John Francis and that he resided at 106 Titchfield Street.
