FRIEDRICH REHBERG (1758-1835)

A self-portrait of Raphael

c.1820-1835

Lithograph | 19.2 x 13.0 cm (sheet of paper) | RCIN 850022

A lithograph reproducing in reverse a painting by Raphael (c.1505) now in the Uffizi, Florence (inv. no. 1890). This print is lettered with the title.

This painting has been identified as a self-portrait of Raphael, but there is much debate about its authorship. This is partially due to its state of preservation (see Bibliographic References for further discussion).
