Photograph of a statue of Queen Victoria by the sculptor Matthew Noble (1817-76). The Queen is depicted standing, wearing a coronet and robes. The statue commemorated the Royal visit to Manchester in 1851 and was unveiled by the Queen in 1857. Terraced houses stand in the left of the background.
