Prince Alfred faces three-quarters to the left and turns his head toward the camera. He poses with his left hand on his hip and his right hand raised, holding a goblet. He wears light colour stockings and shirt, a leopard skin toga, Roman inspired sandals and a garland of grapes on his head.
Prince Alfred is dressed as Bacchus, as a representation of Autumn for a performance of 'Tableaux of the Seasons'.
