1860

Albumen print | 23.0 x 43.0 cm (image) | RCIN 2700150

Photograph of a panoramic view of the city of Zaragoza in the region of Aragon, Spain. The main part of the city is located in the background. The view includes Basilica de Nuestra, La Seo Cathedral, Senora del Pilar and the Torre Nueva, otherwise known as the 'Leaning Tower of Zaragoza'. In the foreground is scrubland and trees, interspersed with buildings.

The Leaning Tower of Zaragoza was built from 1504-12 to house the city's clock and bell and was eventually demolished in 1892 due the fragile nature of the building.
