Photograph of a Russian Prince, Charles Stewart, 2nd Viscount Hardinge (1822-94), George Sutherland-Leveson-Gower, 3rd Duke of Sutherland (1828-92), Anthony Ashley-Cooper, 8th Earl of Shaftesbury (1831-86) and Count Galdenburgh. They are gathered around a large wooden barrel, some sitting on it and some leaning against it. Several of the men are smoking. There is a wall behind them. This photograph was taken by Corporal J Mack during the coronation celebrations of Alexander II, Emperor of Russia.
