Photograph of the Puerta del Sarmental, located on the south side of Burgos Cathedral in northern Spain. Steps lead up to the entrance. Above the entrance is the tympanum, depicting God enthroned. Beneath the tympanum are a row of seated Apostles, carved from stone. A single stone statue of a saint stands with his head bowed on the Trumeau. Other figures appear in recesses, flanking the central doorway on the right.
