Photograph of an elevated view of the Plaza Oriente in Madrid. The Teatro Real, or Royal Theatre, stands in the centre. To the left of the centre and facing the Royal Theatre stands an equestrian statue of Philip IV encircled by 14 limestone sculptures of the Gothic Kings and Queens, all raised on plinths.
