Photograph of the painting 'The Temptation of St. Anthony' (RCIN 405060). The painting depicts St Anthony, on the far left, standing before a Bible. He raised his hands to touch a crucifix fixed on the wall. Beside him, to the right, is a devil and a naked woman.
Photograph is from a folder of photographs of paintings and artworks displayed in Prince Albert's (1819-61) rooms. This painting was displayed in Prince Albert's writing room, on the south side. This painting was given to Prince Albert by Leopold I of Belgium (1790-1865).
