Photograph of the front side of an enamelled casket created in the second half of the sixteenth century in Limoges and now in the collection of the Louvre, Paris (MRR 90). The depicted plaque presents the Repast of Psyche on an oval cartouche held by two centaurs. The scene was based on an c.1535 engraving from a design by Raphael (or possibly Michael Coxie).
