Photograph of a painting by Paul Delaroche, created in 1852 and now in the collection of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts (Inv. no. Ж-863). Inspired by William Shakespeare’s Richard III, the painting depicts the last prayer of the two sons of Edward IV (1442-c.1483), Edward V (1470-83) and Richard of Shrewsbury (1473-c.1483), in the Tower of London. One of them is depicted reclining on a four-poster bed, whilst the other is kneeling on the bed's platform. Both boys clasp their hands in prayer.
