Photograph of a drawing by Paul Delaroche, created around 1853. The work depicts the Christ fallen on his knees as he carries the cross. He is surrounded by a group of soldiers and saints. On the left, a soldier pulls on a rope attached to the Christ's waist, whilst a female figure attempts to lift the cross in the background.
