Photograph of a study by Paul Delaroche relating to his 1845 painting at the collection of the Musée des Beaux-Arts, Besançon (Inv. no. 896.1.382). The painting depicts a young, semi-draped woman lying on a fountain's shallow basin. The fountain is placed centrally in a terrace enclosed by an ornamental marble parapet. Stone pines and cypresses can be seen in the background.
