'James V., King of Scotland'

Photograph of a head-and-shoulders portrait of James V, King of Scotland (1512-42). The bearded king poses facing three-quarters to the right and gazing ahead, away from the viewer. He wears a dark cape over an embroidered doublet and a cap adorned with a brooch. The collar of the Order of the Thistle is placed around his neck. 

At the time of the photograph, the painting was in the collection of Colonel Fraser of Castle-Fraser (1792-1871?), Aberdeenshire.
