Photograph of a head-and-shoulders portrait of David Beaton, Cardinal Archbishop of St Andrews (1494-1546). The bearded cardinal faces slightly to the right and looks at the viewer. He wears his robes of office and a biretta on his head.

At the time of the photograph, the painting was in the collection of Blairs College, Kincardineshire.
