Photograph of the inside of a sixteen-century footed dish or tazza from the collection of the Louvre, Paris (MR 2455). Painted in enamels on copper, the bowl depicts a scene based on Noah's sacrifice as described in the Book of Genesis. The flood subsided Noah is shown kneeling in prayer beside the pyre he lit to give thanks to God. Various animals can be seen around the altar.
