Photograph of the front side of an enamelled reliquary casket, created in Limoges in the first half of the eighth century and now in the collection of the Louvre, Paris (MR 343). This side is decorated with six repoussé figures, two of which have been applied on the lid. A pair of cabochons is filling the spaces between the figures, while a larger, rectangular gemstone with rounded edges is set between the top two figures. The bow of a key is jutting out from the chest's left side. For the object's back side please see photograph RCIN 2864553.
