Photograph of a oval enamel plaque of a young nobleman from the collection of the Louvre, Paris (MR 2580). Created in Limoges during the sixteenth century, the bust-length portrait depicts the bearded man facing a quarter to the left and gazing ahead. He wears a dark doublet paired with a plumed cap on his head. A pendant of the Order of St Michel hangs from his neck.
The work has been attributed to Léonard Limosin (c.1506-1577).
