A photograph of a drawing by Raphael (c.1507-08) now in the Albertina, Vienna (inv. no.IV,209v). The studies seem to be related to different Madonna and Child compositions by Raphael, including the so-called 'Colonna Madonna' (see RCIN 850815) and 'Large Cowper Madonna' (see RCIN 850811).
This drawing is on the verso of sheet depicting studies for the 'Bridgewater Madonna': see RCIN 850903 for a photograph of the recto.
The photograph shows several studies of the Virgin with the Child, sketched in variety of poses.
A copy of this photograph (RCIN 851213) can be found in the Prince Consort's Raphael Collection, portfolio 23 (970572)
