c. 1857Albumen print? | RCIN 2864419
This drawing is currently attributed to the school of Michelangelo (see Bibliographic References) while in the inventory of George III's collection it was attributed to Raphael. It is now believed to be a copy of a figure on a sheet of studies at Chantilly (B.B. 1397).
In this photograph, it is possible to observe the drawing before conservation treatment that in the early twentieth century caused the loss of much of the sheet's pen and ink
A copy of this photograph (RCIN 854365) can be found in the Prince Consort's Raphael Collection, portfolio 48 (970608)
