Photograph of a self-portarit by Paul Delaroche created in 1838. The bust-length portrait presents the French artist facing a quarter to the left and looking towards the viewer. At the time the photgrpah was taken, the original work formed part of the collection of Horace Vernet (1789-1863), Delaroche's father-in-law.
