Glass plate negative of a painting of Princess Victoria, the Princes Royal (1840-1901), created by Frank Reynolds in 1858 (RCIN 407449). The work is a copy of a painting by Franz Xaver Winterhalter (RCIN 404580). It shows the princess in her wedding dress, decorated with lace and flowers.

The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. A print from this negative does not seem to exist in the Collection.
