Glass plate negative of Queen Victoria's and Prince Albert's daughters grouped around a bust of their father. The phototgraph was taken in the grounds of Windsor Castle and the princesses are wearing mourning clothes. They are arranged, from righ to left, Princess Alice, Princess Helena, Princess Beatrice, Princess Victoria of Prussia and Princess Louise.

The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. A print from this negative exists in the Collection, RCIN  2900549.
