Glass plate negative of Queen Victoria's and Prince Albert's daughters grouped around a bust of their father. The photograph was taken in the grounds of Windsor Castle and princesses are dressed in mourning clothes. They are aranged, from righ to left, Princess Alice, Princess Louise, Princess Beatrice, Princess Victoria of Prussia and Princess Helena.
The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. A print from this negative exists in the Collection, RCIN 2900548.
