Glass plate negative featuring two almost identical views of the Queen's Sitting Room at Buckingham Palace. The ceiling is ornate with gilded rosettes and other decorations. The space is filled with an assortment of furniture, sculpture and objects d'art. The are various portraits on the walls, some by FX Winterhalter. A fireplace with an overmantle mirror is also visible.
The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. A print from this negative exists in the Collection, RCIN 2103838.
