Glass plate negative of a view of the Bow Room, formerly named the Bow Library Room and 1853 Room, Buckingham Palace. It is a circular room with full length windows and marble columns in between each bay. There is a double-backed leather sofa and behind it a Sevres monumental vase commemorating the Great Exhibition of 1851 (RCIN 90715).
The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. A print from this negative exists in the Collection, RCIN 2101708 .
