Glass plate negative of a head of a stag shot by Prince Albert (1819-61) displayed on a wooden bench, facing slightly towards the left. Foliage has been placed around the stag's neck. Stag shot at Balmoral on 2 October 1858.
The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. A print from this negative exists in the Collection, RCIN 2117012.
