'Princess Amalie of Hohenlohe-Schillingsfürst (1821-1902)'
Mar 1857RCIN 2084397
Glass plate negative of a daguerreotype featuring a three-quarter length portrait of Princess Amalie of Hohenlohe-Schillingsfürst (1821-1902). The princess is standing, facing three-quarters to the right and holding a flower in her hand. There is a table and chair either side of her and a column in the background, on the left.
The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. Although the original daguerreotype seems to be historically missing, a print from this negative exists in the Collection (RCIN 2906643).
