'Marie Walburg, Baroness de Speth (fl. 1857)'
c. 1852RCIN 2084398
Glass plate negative of a daguerreotype featuring a three-quarter length portrait of Baroness de Speth. The baroness is seated, facing halfway to the right and looking ahead, away from the camera. She holds a book in her hand and wears a striped dress and bonnet.
The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. Although the original daguerreotype seems to be historically missing, a print from this negative exists in the Collection (RCIN 2906677).
