Prince Consort's Dressing Room, Windsor Castle
c.1873RCIN 2084147
Glass plate negative of the Prince Consort's Dressing Room (F208) looking towards the Red (King's) Room in the Private Apartments, Windsor Castle (F207). There is a portrait of Queen Victoria by FX Winterhalter, 1847 (RCIN 400885), and below a dressing table with washing equipment.
The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. Prints from this negative do not seem to exist in the Collection, however a variant of the room from the same sitting is represented by RCIN 2100570.
