Glass plate negative of a full length group portrait of three royal children in costume for the tableau "The Allies" performed at Windsor Castle. From right to left, Prince Arthur dressed as a Private of the Grenadier Guards, Princess Helena dressed as a Chasseur de Vincennes and Princess Louise dressed as a Vivandière. The group stand on grass outside a the castle.

The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. A print from this negative exists in the Collection, RCIN 2900066. For hand-coroured veariants see RCIN 2914266 and RCIN 408954.
