Man with a bull
1851-61RCIN 2083064
Glass plate negative of a full length portrait of a man standing beside a bull. The man, possibly a Royal Household herdsman, faces towards the camera and looks ahead. He holds onto a rod connected to the bull's nose ring. The bull stands in profile, facing to the left. Trees and shrubbery are visible in the background.
The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. Prints from this negative do not seem to exist in the Collection.
