Man with a bull
1851-61RCIN 2083067
Glass plate negative of a full length portrait of a man standing beside a bull. The man, possibly a Royal Household herdsman, faces three-quarters to the left and looks ahead. He holds onto the bull's reins. The bull stands in profile, facing right and turning its head to the opposite direction. In the background there is a wooden fence and behind it a brick cottage.
The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. Prints from this negative do not seem to exist in the Collection.
