Letter from Joseph Cundall to Charles Ruland concerning photography for the Prince Consort at the National Gallery.
5 Jul 1860Loose manuscript paper; mounted | 1 document (4 pages) (whole object) | RA VIC/ADDA10/85/127
Cundall writes that he is sorry to have missed Ruland at the National Gallery; he was photographing pictures in the Barrack Yard at the time, and then working on the Perugino. He asks Ruland to give him any further orders early next morning before he returns to the Gallery. He has got some good negatives, but the Giorgione is impossible, as he expected.
