1 - 31 Dec 1841Loose manuscript paper; mounted | 1 document (4 pages) (whole object) | RA VIC/MAIN/Z/470/80
Memorandum for Prince Albert reporting that the Navy had put forward the names of two officers to be considered as representatives at the christening banquet. They are recorded as Sir R. Stafford and Admiral Lord Amelius Beauclerk. The writer also mentions that Baron Brunnow, Minister to the Emperor of Russia, has not been invited, along with others, to represent their respective sovereigns as Knights of the Garter. They suggest that this may cause offence.
