Prince Albert discusses the government of India and states that its motive is for riches rather than for the welfare of its inhabitants. He reflects on the East India Company and its relationship with the Crown of England and the Princes and Chiefs of India. Prince Albert also discusses Lord Ellenborough's suggestion for Queen Victoria becoming 'Nominal Head of the Empire' and includes reference to the Ottoman Empire.
