Includes the Princess Royal mentioning Prince Alfred's visit and overcoming his fault. She refers to Bertie's [Prince of Wales] future as well as the precarious positions of Uncle Ernest [Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha] and herself in the arrangement of Bertie's potential marriage. She warns her father that Uncle Ernest is planning a meeting between himself and Bertie. The Princess Royal also mentions 'Dunker's political notions' regarding England as well as her children and Prince Albert's birthday.
