Includes the Princess Royal writing that she is glad her father was not angry at what she wrote about Lord Augustus Loftus. She mentions that the Princess [of Prussia] arrived on her birthday and that she was in a very good mood. The Princess Royal reflects on the Princess' character and difficulties. She refers to Sir James [Clark] sending her the opinions of Caesar Hawkins and Mr Paget on Dr Baly's account of her son's arm. She also refers to Louis [Prince of Hesse], Princess Alice and Dr Becker.
