Includes the Princess Royal referring to the visit of Louis and Heinrich [Princes of Hesse] and their impression on her father and Princess Alice. She mentions that the Empress of Russia means to bring the Duchess of Leuchtenberg's two daughters here and refers to Fritz's [Prince Frederick of Prussia] journey to Sweden where [Frederick VII] of Denmark is currently staying. The Princess Royal also refers to the sad news regarding Lord Cowley and tells her father of how [George V] of Hanover made a surprise visit to the Prince [William of Prussia].
