Includes the Princess Royal writing about Europe being in a state of confusion and Russia appearing keen to start an 'Oriental war'. She refers to the Emperor [Napoleon], Grand Duke Constantine and Prince Gortchakov. She writes that Professor Waagen is delighted to hear that the National Gallery has bought a collection at Paris. She also mentions that due to Fritz [Prince Frederick of Prussia] catching colds regularly, [Dr] Wegner wishes him to drink Salzbrunn water at the Neues Palais and to go sea bathing to the Isle of Rügen.
