Includes the Princess Royal mentioning Princess Alice's birthday, Bertie [Prince of Wales] returning from Germany and the accident at Verviers. She writes further about Countess Dohna being unfit for the position but the difficulty of finding a replacement and that Fritz [Prince Frederick of Prussia] is now at the head of the freemasonry in Germany. The Princess Royal also mentions the suicide of M. de Bruck [Karl Ludwig von Bruck] and Prince Albert being displeased with Affie [Prince Alfred].
