Queen Victoria thanks Prince Albert for his previous letters and writes that he must have had a 'delightful and interesting tour'. She also mentions that their uncle Ferdinand [Prince Ferdinand of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha] had been staying with her and that his daughter, also Victoria, 'is quite lovely'. She writes that the Grand-Duke of Russia [Alexander II] had also been staying with them and mentions that she 'liked him extremely'.
