Letter from Prince Albert to Queen Victoria in which he gives news of the Declaration ceremony, of which he encloses a copy from the Court Circular (written in English). He also reassures Victoria in regards to questions from the public relating to his peerage and 'fears of [his] playing a political part'. Albert also explains his thoughts on how he will choose members of his Household, saying ' I should wish particularly that the selection should be made without regards to politics; for if I am really to keep myself free from all parties, my people must not belong exclusively to one side.'
