Letter from Prince Albert to Queen Victoria regarding the Declaration ceremony and his choice of Household

Letter from Prince Albert to Queen Victoria in which he gives news of the Declaration ceremony, of which he encloses a copy from the Court Circular (written in English). He also reassures Victoria in regards to questions from the public relating to his peerage and 'fears of [his] playing a political part'. Albert also explains his thoughts on how he will choose members of his Household, saying ' I should wish particularly that the selection should be made without regards to politics; for if I am really to keep myself free from all parties, my people must not belong exclusively to one side.'
