Lord Melbourne transmits a copy of answers given by the Lord Chamberlain in answer to a letter from Coburg and makes reference to the differing law [in the United Kingdom] compared with other nations. He asks the King of the Belgians to prepare the Duke and the Prince [Albert] for difficulties and provides a sketch of the current political and economic climate [in the United Kingdom] at the time of the match.
