Letter from Lord Campbell to Prince Albert in reply to the Prince's previous enquiries regarding the power to purchase property on behalf of the Duchy of Cornwall (see VIC/MAIN/Z/470/48). He advises that a confidential solicitor be employed to look for a potential purchase and that Queen Victoria should should formally authorise the purchase and payment by the Trustees.
