      Letter from Edward White to Colonel Charles Beaumont Phipps reporting that the Trustees have found they have no power to invest the savings on the mortgage unless they are held personally responsible. White encloses a copy of the case recording the opinion of the Law Officers of the Crown (see VIC/MAIN/Z/470/36) and a copy of his letter to the Lord Chancellor (see VIC/MAIN/Z/470/37).
