The Countess conveys the Princess Royal's delight that Prince Albert conversed with Count Perponcher. She writes that the Duke of Coburg [Ernest II, Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha] visited and that the Princess Royal was saddened by the departure of Sir James Clark. She also refers to the present for Dr Wegener.
