13 Jan 1852

Loose manuscript paper; mounted | 1 document (4 pages) (whole object) | RA VIC/MAIN/Z/470/33

Draft letter from Prince Albert to Lord Truro advising that Queen Victoria, and himself, had been considering investing money from the account of the Duchy of Cornwall into property. He reports that he has found a property which he believes to be eligible and asks that the Lord Chancellor examine the mortgage, with their solicitor Edward White. Prince Albert states that if the enquiries proved satisfactory then the Queen would give the Trustees authority to transfer the money.
