An etching by Pietro Santi Bartoli reproducing, in reverse, the almost entirely destroyed fresco 'Joshua renews the Covenant at Shechem' painted by the workshop of Raphael (c.1517-19) in the basamento of the tenth bay of the Raphael Loggia in the Vatican. Numbered at lower right: 9. Trimmed within platemark. Published in 'Imagines veteris ac novi Testamenti in Vaticani Palatii' (1675).
According to Dacos (see Bibliographic References), the basamento paintings of the Raphael Loggia in the Vatican were executed in grisaille and imitated bronze reliefs.
