c.1853-76Albumen print | 14.2 x 27.2 cm (sheet of paper) | RCIN 853657
A photograph of a drawing in the Albertina, Vienna (inv. no.168) considered a copy after the almost entirely destroyed fresco God's Covenant with Noah painted by the workshop of Raphael (c.1517-19) in the basamento of the third bay of the Raphael Loggia in the Vatican. See RCIN 853656 for a photograph of a preparatory drawing for this fresco.
According to Dacos (see Bibliographic References), the basamento paintings of the Raphael Loggia in the Vatican were executed in grisaille and imitated bronze reliefs.
